Introduction
RKY NFC ("we", "us", or "the App") is a utility mobile application developed by Rajesh Kumar Yadav ("Developer") designed to read, write, inspect, and manage NFC (Near Field Communication) tags and smart cards. We are committed to protecting your privacy. The App is built to operate offline and locally, saving all tag records and settings directly to your device storage. No account registration is required, and no personal data is transmitted to external servers.
Information We Collect & How It Is Handled
- No User Account Required: You do not need to register, create an account, or log in to use the App. We do not collect, request, or store your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal identity details.
- NFC Tag Data & Payloads: Information scanned from NFC tags (such as tag UIDs, technology types, NDEF messages, URLs, Wi-Fi credentials, text, and contact vCards) is processed locally in real time on your device. We do not transmit, monitor, or store any tag contents on remote servers.
- Local History & Templates: Your scan history, written records, custom templates, and preferences are stored exclusively on your device storage (via local AsyncStorage). This data remains strictly on your device.
- Clipboard Access: When you choose to copy a tag's decoded content or serial number, the App writes the information to your device clipboard. This action is explicitly initiated by you and managed by your device operating system.
- Contact & Technical Support: If you voluntarily reach out to us via email for support or feedback, we collect your email address and message content solely to respond to your inquiry. We do not use support emails for marketing or share them with third parties.
Device Permissions Requested
The App requires the following system permissions to operate:
- NFC (Near Field Communication): Required to scan, read, and write data to nearby physical NFC tags and smart cards.
- Haptics & Audio: Used to provide tactile feedback and sound alerts when tags are successfully detected or written.
Third-Party Services & Analytics
The App contains no third-party tracking libraries, advertising SDKs, analytics frameworks, or telemetry collectors. No browsing data, location data, or device identifiers are collected or shared. Your privacy is guaranteed by design.
Data Retention, Security & Control
- On-Device Control: Because all records are stored locally, you maintain complete ownership of your data.
- Individual Deletion: You can delete specific history records or saved templates directly inside the app.
- Complete Reset (Danger Zone): You can erase all saved templates, scan histories, and preferences at any time using the Reset feature in the Settings menu.
- App Uninstall: Uninstalling the App permanently removes all locally stored data from your device.
Children's Privacy
The App does not collect personal information from any user, including children under the age of 13. It is safe for general audiences.
