Introduction
RKY Bhakti ("we", "us", or "the App") is a devotional Aarti collection application for Android and iOS that provides access to sacred chants and prayers in Hindi and Hinglish. This Privacy Policy explains what data the App collects, how that data is used, and your choices.
Data Collected
- No personal tracking by developers: The App itself does not collect, store, or transmit any personal identification information about you. We do not track your viewing history or identity. However, third-party analytics and advertising SDKs integrated into the App may collect anonymous usage data and device/advertising identifiers.
- User preferences: The App stores your preferences based on your choices in the settings page—such as language preferences (Hindi/Hinglish), favorite selections, and other customization options. These preferences are saved locally on your device and synchronized with your personal cloud account (iCloud on iOS / Google Drive on Android). They are never transmitted to or accessible by us. We do not have access to your device data, but the app uses your local and synchronized preferences to personalize your experience.
- Contact form: The App provides a contact form where you can request features or report problems. When you submit the form, we collect your name, email address, subject, and message so that we can understand your feedback and respond to you directly via email. This information is used solely for replying to your inquiry and is not used for any other purposes.
- Analytics data: The App uses Google Analytics (Firebase Analytics) to collect anonymous usage and behavioral data. This helps us analyze how users interact with the app, identify performance issues, and improve overall functionality. The data collected is aggregated and anonymous, and does not identify you personally.
How We Use Data
- Display Aarti content and personalize your app experience based on preferences you set in the app's settings page, which are stored locally on your device.
- Manage your favorite Aarti selections locally on your device based on your choices.
- Respond to your contact form submissions so we can address your feature requests and bug reports via email.
- Analyze aggregate, anonymous app usage and statistics to improve the features, performance, and stability of the App.
Data Sharing and Transfers
We do not transmit, upload, or share any of your data with third parties. Your favorites, language preferences, and viewing activity remain on your device and inside your private cloud storage under your control.
Storage and Retention
All content and user preferences are stored locally on your device and synchronized to your personal private cloud account (iCloud for iOS or Google Drive backup for Android). Your data is not stored or synced on remote servers operated by the developer. Your data persists in your personal cloud backup even if you uninstall the App, allowing you to restore it when reinstalling.
Note: iCloud synchronization is supported on iOS starting from app version 1.7.2.
Third-Party Services
The App integrates with Google Analytics / Firebase Analytics (provided by Google LLC) to collect anonymous usage and behavioral data. This data is collected and processed under Google's privacy policy, which can be found at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Google AdMob: We use Google AdMob (provided by Google LLC) to serve advertisements. AdMob may collect and process device identifiers (such as Apple's Identifier for Advertisers / IDFA and Android's Advertising ID), usage data, and app performance/diagnostics data to personalize ads and analyze traffic. You can manage personalized ad permissions using your device's system settings (e.g., App Tracking Transparency on iOS or Ads Personalization settings on Android). We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
AI Chat (beta)
The App includes an optional AI Chat feature for devotional guidance. When you use this feature, your prompt is sent to an AI service to generate a response. We do not collect or store personal data from your questions beyond what you submit in the chat.
The AI Chat feature may process the text you provide, and the AI service may generate an answer based on that input. Do not submit sensitive personal information through the chat, and understand that responses are generated automatically.
The feature is protected by an app token and is only available through the RKY Bhakti app. It is not used for analytics or third-party tracking outside of the AI response service.
User Choices and Rights
- You have complete control over your data — it is stored only on your device.
- You can delete your favorites and preferences by clearing the App's cache or data through settings.
- You can uninstall the App at any time, which will remove associated local device data. Your synchronized cloud backup will remain in your personal iCloud or Google Drive storage unless you manually delete it from your cloud account settings.
- To send diagnostic information or feedback, you must do so explicitly via email support.
