RKY Water Reminder Privacy Policy

Introduction

RKY Water Reminder ("we", "us", or "the App") is a daily hydration tracker app designed to help you monitor water intake and build healthy habits. We believe your health data is private. The App is designed to run entirely locally, storing your records safely on your device or in your personal iCloud backup.

Data We Collect & How We Handle It

  • No Account Creation: You do not need to register an account, log in, or provide any personal identification information to use the App.
  • Hydration Logs & Settings: All input logs (timestamp, beverage type, and volume consumed) and preferences (daily goal target, measurement units, reminder schedule, and custom notification sounds) are stored locally on your device. We do not have access to this data.
  • iCloud Synchronization: The App uses Apple's iCloud storage services to sync your logs and configuration settings across your own iOS devices automatically. This sync is handled entirely through your personal iCloud account. We do not host, store, or have access to any data synced to iCloud.
  • In-App Purchases: All transactions are processed securely by Apple's App Store. We do not collect or store any billing, credit card, or payment details. Apple provides us with anonymous purchase tokens/receipts to verify your premium status.
  • Support Communications: If you contact us via email for help, we will collect your email address and any details you provide to respond to your support request. This information is used solely for customer support.

Device Permissions

To deliver its features, the App requests standard system permissions:

  • Notifications: Used to send periodic, local hydration reminder alerts based on your preferred schedule. Reminders are generated locally on your device.

Third-Party Services

  • Apple App Store: Used for app distribution and in-app purchase processing. Apple's privacy policy governs all related transactions.
  • Apple iCloud: Used optionally for private data backup if you choose to enable iCloud Backup. Your data remains private to your Apple ID.
  • Google AdMob: We use Google AdMob to serve advertisements. AdMob may collect and process device identifiers (such as Apple's Advertising Identifier / IDFA), usage data, and app performance/diagnostics data. You can manage personalized ad permissions using your iOS device tracking settings.
  • Support Contact: If you contact us by email for support, we collect your email address and message content solely to respond to your query. This information is never shared or used for advertising.

Data Security & Ownership

Because all data is stored locally on your device, you retain complete ownership and control. Aside from Google AdMob's standard advertising and diagnostics SDK, we do not employ other third-party analytics trackers, databases, or libraries within the App.

We have no ability to access, view, recover, or restore your data. Please ensure you have iCloud Backup enabled or another backup method if you wish to preserve your records.

Data Controls & Deletion

  • App Reset: You can completely and permanently delete all your water logs and preferences from your device's local memory at any time by selecting the "Reset App" option within the App settings.
  • Uninstallation: Deleting the App from your device removes all locally stored data. Data synchronized to your iCloud will persist in your private cloud space unless cleaned up separately through your iCloud settings.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App's features or applicable regulations. Any updates will be reflected by a new "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
