Introduction
RKY Bluetooth Battery Monitor ("we", "us", or "the App") is a utility mobile application designed to help users scan, connect to, and monitor the battery percentages of Bluetooth peripherals. We are committed to protecting your privacy. The App is designed to operate offline and locally, saving all data directly to your device or synced privately via Apple's iCloud storage.
Data Collection & Handling
- No Account Required: You do not need to register, create an account, or log in to use the App. We do not collect or request any personal identification information.
- Bluetooth Peripheral Logs: Your monitored device details (UUIDs, names, battery percentages, and connection logs) are stored 100% locally on your device's hardware. We do not have access to, transmit, or store this data on our servers.
- iCloud Storage Sync: If enabled, the App utilizes Apple's native iCloud storage to synchronize your preferences and monitored device trust status across your own Apple devices. This sync is private to your personal iCloud account, and the developer has no access to this database.
- In-App Purchases & Subscriptions: All transactions and subscription processing are handled securely by Apple's App Store. We do not collect, store, or process any payment card details or billing information. Apple provides us with anonymous purchase tokens/receipts to verify your premium status.
- Contact & Support: If you reach out to us for technical assistance via email, we collect your email address and message contents solely to answer your questions. This data is never shared or used for advertising.
Device Permissions
The App requires the following system permissions to operate effectively:
- Bluetooth Sharing (NSBluetoothAlwaysUsageDescription, NSBluetoothPeripheralUsageDescription): Required to scan for, connect to, and retrieve battery level services from surrounding Bluetooth peripherals.
- Notifications: Permissions are requested to schedule local alerts that remind you when a monitored device's battery level drops below your warning threshold.
Data Security & Ownership
Because the App operates offline and stores all records locally, you are in full control of your data. We do not employ third-party analytics trackers, SDKs, or advertising libraries.
- Data Deletion: You can purge all device profiles, preferences, and logs at any time by tapping "Reset All Data" inside the Settings menu.
- App Deletion: Uninstalling the App removes all local records. Synced iCloud values can be managed separately inside your Apple device settings.
