Introduction

RKY AI Excuse Maker ("we", "us", or "the App") is dedicated to protecting your privacy. The App is designed as an offline-first tool for generating text excuses. We do not require account registration, and your data is stored locally on your device.

Data Collection & Handling

• No Account Registration: You can use the App completely anonymously without creating an account or providing personal details.
• Local Storage & History: Your generated excuses, favorites, situation choices, and settings are stored locally on your device via AsyncStorage and synchronized securely through your personal Apple iCloud Key-Value store.
• AI API Connections: When generating an excuse, prompt text (situation, tone, optional details) is transmitted securely to OpenAI servers to generate the response. If using BYOK, requests are made directly using your Bearer API key. If using device credit packs, requests are authenticated anonymously via our secure credit server.
• In-App Purchases & Billing: Credit pack purchases are processed securely through Apple App Store In-App Purchases and RevenueCat. We do not store or process your credit card or financial details.

Permissions & System Features

The App requests standard system capabilities strictly for app functionality:

Clipboard Access: Allows you to copy generated excuses with one tap.

Native Share Sheet: Enables sharing excuses directly through SMS, messaging apps, or email.

Third-Party Services

The App integrates minimal trusted third-party services:

OpenAI API: For processing text completions. Subject to OpenAI’s Privacy Policy (https://openai.com/privacy).

RevenueCat & Apple IAP: For managing in-app credit pack purchases anonymously.

Data Control & Deletion

You can delete individual excuses or clear your entire history and favorites anytime inside the app. Deleting the App removes all local data permanently.
